About this blog

Griote is the French word for storyteller. In Togo or many countries in West Africa, it was the duty of one designated person to tell the origins of the tribe, royal family, lessons learned, or customs in the form of stories so that people would not forget. It was orally communicated but it was also accompanied by music at time. The craft was passed on from generation to generation, so you would always find a griot (male) or a griote (female) in a specific family or families. It has disappeared since the colonization and the industrial age but right now in some villages in West Africa, you can still find griots.

This blog is to talk about and share stories of the LORD Jesus Christ.  The One Who loves us without regret, passionately, eternally.  The One Who came and will return again for His Bride.

Welcome to my blog!
